BURGERS!!!
We all love burgers!
Well, after reading
about Grab Your Fork’s post about Jazz City Diner, there was no way we were
passing this one!
Walking in, I didn’t
expect it to be as small as it was, but wow … it was small but cosy. But note,
if you do plan to go – it would be recommended to book a table to guarantee
yourself a table. But I totally loved the ambience they had to offer, the interior design seriously made me feel so .. retro like!
So … we may or may not
have eaten with our eyes before our stomachs… because we decided to have a
burger each and then share the oh so famous fried chicken and waffles :D
Candice and I both had
the cheeseburger, as I thought it would have been a smaller option – but no,
not really. As we have a massive love for onion rings, we ordered one with
onion rings and the other with sweet potato fries! The burger was delicious
though messy (as expected). The meat patty would simply deconstruct once it was
in your mouth!
The soft shell crab
burger was nice; the slight crunch in the soft shell crab was enough when
eating with the bun. It was yummy!
Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings $20
Chicken wings, it wasn’t
really my type of wings. There was a slight smoky flavour to the wings but it
offered a nice crunch. The ___ sauce was very tangy, but I found I enjoyed the
wings more without the dip.
AND then voila! The
main reason we came to try this place … HELLO FRIED CHICKEN AND WAFFLES!!
Yes, we initially
wondered whether it would be weird as well … but seriously, once you eat it you
simply laugh (mentally of course) at yourself for wondering why there would a
problem. You have everything you love in one dish, fried chicken, sweet, and
waffles. It was the perfect way to end our meal … was it settled as dessert?
Perhaps … it was ….
Would you settle for
fried chicken and waffles with maple syrup as dessert?
