The Roxbury Hotel

Address: 180/182 St Johns Rd  Glebe NSW 2037

My sister invited me to her friend’s gig at this pub, the decision of whether to go or not depends on their food (of course)! The menu seemed interesting, especially their burger combinations, so I decided to give it a try. Apologies in advance about the photo quality, it was taken in a pitch dark room where the gig was and I had to use the dreaded flash.

Haloumi Burger with Eggplant, Roast Tomato, Lettuce and Caramelized Onion served with Fries $11

My sister loved this burger, everything was scrumptious and equally portioned. It was definitely worth the price given the size! It came with kumara chips which were a bit over fried and most of them were hollow. We had potato chips from the others and they were fine.

Chorizo & Haloumi Puppy with Caramelized Onion, Mayo and Fries $13

As soon as I saw this on the menu, I decided to come. What would be better than the combination of two of my favourite food? After ordering it, I thought oh no, both can be quite salty.. I wonder if the caramelized onion can cut the saltiness. Luckily, the flavour were just right, I just wished there was a bit more onions because they were DELICIOUS.

Got to say, I LOVE pub food when they are good quality and most importantly, when they are affordable. The Roxbury Hotel falls into that category with plenty of seatings inside. If I live near Glebe, I’d probably come here for dinner quite often.
